We are proud of our comprehensive status and committed to the needs of all our learners, from the most academically gifted to those young people that need help and support with their learning.

High Down Infant School

We are a warm, happy, friendly school who provide quality education in a calm caring environment. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure and valued and your child’s emotional and social development are extremely important to us.

The first years of schooling are hugely important and can positively shape children’s attitude towards life long learning. Our aim is that by the time the children leave us they will have developed a good sense of worth and a stimulated mind so that they are happy and motivated as they continue on their journey through education.

High Down Junior School

High Down Junior School is a happy place, with a strong reputation for being a very caring and high attaining school which provides a rich and inspiring education. Our dedicated staff have the highest aspirations for our children and are committed to nurturing and developing children’s learning.

Each child is valued for their own talents, strengths and personality and we encourage the children to succeed and reach their potential, to have high self-esteem and a belief that they can achieve. Parents are the first educators of their children and are welcomed to work closely in partnership with the school to support their child’s learning and development.
