In times of intense financial pressure the procurement team have been working hard to drive down costs for schools while improving scope and value offered by suppliers.
Head of Trust Services, Tim Monelle, said: “These new arrangements offer the Trust value, quality and consistency. We are delighted to be working with local companies who will deliver excellent service whilst saving our schools money. Since 1 September 2018, cost savings as a result of contract renegotiations and bulk procurement are in excess of £400,000.”

The winning providers undertook a rigorous and competitive tender process.
All contracts are awarded on the basis of value for money and the Trust is committed to encouraging local suppliers to compete for business.
Cornish Garden Services specialise in all aspects of landscape maintenance, grass cutting and sports ground maintenance.
Managing Director of Cornish Garden Services, Matthew Cornish, commented: “I am absolutely delighted to have been awarded the grounds maintenance contract for Lighthouse Schools Partnership. I am looking forward to giving something back to the schools that educated my children and I am excited to be working in partnership with an outstanding Trust. I am a true believer in the fact that first impressions are important not only with maintenance of the grounds but also to inspire children to encourage them to play sport”.
2IT Systems, a local ICT Support Company formed in 2011, is a provider of ICT managed services, solutions and support and works closely with schools to ensure the support services it provides match each school’s individual needs, priorities and budgets.
