We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Mrs Abi Oldfield as the new Headteacher at High Down Infant and High Down Junior School, part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership, effective from 5 January 2026. Mrs Oldfield is an experienced school leader who brings knowledge and enthusiasm and a passion for building the foundations for a positive and inspiring learning environment for all students.

This new appointment is following the retirement of long standing former Headteacher Mrs Andreya Cowan in December 2025.

Mrs Oldfield, Headteacher of High Downs Schools said “I’m delighted to join High Down Schools and I am looking forward to working with the dedicated team of staff, governors, and parents. It is a privilege to lead this school and I wish to form strong partnerships to ensure the school remains at the heart of its community.”
