An exciting day of specialist Music Technologist took place in September for students at Backwell, Gordano and Chew Valley Secondary Schools.
A big thank to Waitrose & Partners for donating £500 in gift vouchers to our Portishead hub schools as part of their Give a Little Love Campaign which aims to make a lasting difference to those in need.
The vouchers will go towards providing food and equipment for pupils that need it most or otherwise wouldn't be able to take part in a school activity.
Congratulations to Gordano Pupil Daniel Shorrock who secured and performed the role of Benji, in Priscilla Queen of The Desert. Daniel shared the role with one other actor and the two of them were the only child actors in an all adult cast.
Daniel has already performed the role in Bath Theatre Royal in July and performed in New Theatre, Cardiff and Bristol Hippodrome during September and October.

High Down Schools Governing Body is consulting on reducing its Planned Admission Number (PAN) from 90 to 60 in September 2022. This would mean that the school would admit only two Reception classes from September 2022, instead of the current three.
