Horfield CE Primary School joins Lighthouse Schools Partnership

We are delighted to share that Horfield CE Primary School has officially joined Lighthouse Schools Partnership as of 1 August 2025. Horfield joins other Bristol Schools, Easton CE Primary School, Fishponds CE Primary School and St Mary Redcliffe CE Primary School who became part of Lighthouse Schools Partnership in January 2025, increasing the total number of schools within the Trust to 34, and expanding our presence in the City of Bristol.
Lighthouse Schools Partnership are excited about next phase in their development as a trust, serving schools in Bristol as well as rural or commuter-town schools. Horfield CE Primary School strives to create a nurturing community where children flourish and we look forward to welcoming them into our trust.
Rae Harris, Headteacher at Horfield CE Primary School said “We are very excited to be joining Lighthouse Schools Partnership. We know that being part of the Trust will bring with it enormous benefits and support to our staff, pupils and families, whilst giving us the opportunity to work in partnership with an established and effective professional team.”
LSP Chief Executive Dr Gary Lewis, commented: “We are thrilled to be welcoming another Bristol school to our Trust. It is a great opportunity for us as a trust to develop our presence in Bristol and to continue our partnership with the City Council and with the Diocese of Bristol. We have been working informally with the school for some months and supported them with significant changes to their curriculum. The staff are great and we have been impressed with the work that they are doing. I know that they will have much to bring to us now and in the future.”
Lighthouse Schools Partnership is a Schools Trust formed in September 2016 with 34 schools across the age range from Nursery to Sixth Form located in Bristol, Bath and Northeast Somerset and North Somerset.
